Chapter 75 – An Act Respecting the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians (Dietitians Act): governs the practice of dietetics, sets out standard processes for registration, continuing competence, complaints and discipline.
NBAD Regulations (revised May 28 2011): regulates the dietetic profession under the Dietitians Act.
NBAD By-Laws (January 13 2022): a further application of the Dietitians Act and Regulations and refers more specifically to the organization of NBAD and how it will conduct its business.
NBAD Standards of Practice (revised 2015): describe the standards that must be met by all dietitians practicing in New Brunswick. The Standards of Practice are also the basis for the Continuing Competence Program used annually by dietitians for identifying learning goals each year.
NBAD Code of Ethics: a set of principles of professional conduct which establishes the ethical expectations dietitians are required to adhere to in their professional practice.
Integrated Competencies for Dietetic Education and Practice (ICDEP 2020): defines the entry-to-practice standard for dietitians in Canada implemented through education programs and the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination.
